Who runs this site

AdventMyFriend (adventmyfriend.com) is published by Webhaus LLC, 2108 N St, Ste 4030, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA. Entity number 202129810478, jurisdiction California, USA. Managing director: Anne Corcino. Email: hello (at) webhaus (dot) info.

For readers in Germany and Austria this section is the Impressum; for readers in France, the mentions légales.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Webhaus LLC (“we”, “AdventMyFriend”) about the website adventmyfriend.com and the calendar service it provides (together, “the Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms. We may change them; the date at the top says when, and continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us, and only in compliance with these terms and applicable law. If you are under age, you may use the Service only with the approval of your parent, guardian or teacher.

What the Service is

A free tool that lets you create an online advent calendar with dated doors, fill the doors with text, images, links and embedded videos, and share the calendar through a link. No account is created. The email address you enter is used to send you the link that edits and deletes your calendar. Calendars are seasonal: those of the previous season are deleted in the spring, as the privacy policy describes.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you put behind the doors. By putting it there you allow us to store it and show it to the people who open your calendar’s link, which is what the Service is for. You are responsible for your content: do not upload or link to anything you have no right to share, anything unlawful, anything that harasses, threatens or exposes another person, or anything aimed at children that the law restricts. Videos are not uploaded to the Service; a video door is a link to YouTube or Vimeo, and their terms apply to it.

We may remove a calendar, or part of one, that breaks these terms, and we may suspend access for anyone who breaks them, without notice.

Use of the Service

Do not use robots, scrapers, data mining or similar methods on the Service, do not attempt to guess calendar links, and do not interfere with the Service’s operation. The software behind the Service belongs to Webhaus LLC and its licensors; you receive no licence to it beyond using the Service as offered.

Notice and takedown

If you believe content reachable through the Service infringes your copyright, trademark or another right, write to hello (at) webhaus (dot) info with: the work or right you claim is infringed; the material you claim is infringing, with the calendar’s URL; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent or the law; and a declaration that the information is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act for them. We respond to such notices promptly. This is not legal advice; an attorney can advise you on your rights.

Warranty and liability

The Service and its content are provided “as is”. We give no warranty, express or implied, about the Service, its availability, its content or its fitness for a particular purpose. Calendars may be unavailable, lost or deleted; keep your own copies of anything you want to keep. To the extent the law allows, Webhaus LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or other losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under the consumer laws of the country you live in.

Indemnification

You agree to hold Webhaus LLC harmless from losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that result from your breach of these terms or from claims by third parties arising from your use of the Service.

Dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. Webhaus LLC is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (in the sense of the German VSBG). We try to settle any disagreement amicably: hello (at) webhaus (dot) info.

The site shows advertising and may earn a commission on some links to products and services on its editorial pages, as the affiliate disclosure describes. Advertising never appears inside the doors of a calendar.
