Some links on this site’s editorial pages are affiliate links: if you buy a product, a gift membership or a subscription through one, the vendor pays the site a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the free calendar maker is paid for, together with advertising.
What is linked
The pages about digital gifts name products that can be sent as a link or a code: audiobook and reading memberships, courses, experience vouchers, streaming and app-store gift cards. Where a program has approved this site, the link to that product is an affiliate link. The programs the site takes part in, as of October 2026: Amazon Associates (Audible gift memberships, Kindle books and other Amazon products in the US, with other Amazon stores to follow); the Awin and Impact networks for experience, magazine and course vendors as each approves the site. Amazon gift cards pay no commission and are named without a link.
AdventMyFriend is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
How you can tell
A page that carries an affiliate link says so in a box at the top of the page, and the links are marked for search engines as sponsored. Prices on those pages are printed with the date they were read from the vendor’s page.
What a commission does not change
The pages say what a product is, how it is delivered and what it costs on the day it was read, from the vendor’s own page; they do not rank gifts or call any of them the right one. A vendor that pays a commission is described in the same words as one that does not, and a free way to do the same thing (an unlisted video, a shared album, a voice memo, a library e-book) is named beside every paid one.
Where there are never affiliate links
Inside anyone’s calendar. The doors hold what the person who made the calendar put there, and the site adds no links, no advertising and no tracking of its own to them.
